15 Ideas for Faceless Videos for Photographers

I don't know about you but I have felt the pressure over the years of having to be camera-ready all the time.  I wish it was in my nature to put on my face and do my hair every day but it really isn't.  So I am LOVING this new trend of faceless videos on Social Media.  LOVING IT!  There has never been a time when it was actually ok for me to wear my leggings and old t-shirts AND show up on socials.

So if you are like me and you HATE having to show your face all the time, now is the time to dig in and shine!

But a word of warning, just because this is a new trend doesn't mean you can avoid showing your face all the time.  Put that smile up every once in a while so people can connect with you and use these ideas when you need to post something but just don't have it in you to get out of your fave pair of comfortable sweats.

15 Faceless Video Ideas for Photographers

1.  Put a camera overhead and put stuff in your camera bag,

2.  Have a friend scan around your camera bag while you pack it

3.  Walk away from the camera while rolling or carrying your camera bag

4.  The walk-away shot in a silhouette

5.  A video of the back of your camera as you scroll through session images.

6. A video of you changing lenses

7.  A hyper-lapse video of you culling a session

8.  A hyper-lapse of your screen as you edit a session

9.  You walking showing your feet

10.  Your feet walking while holding a coffee cup

11.  Your hands typing on a keyboard

12.  Your back with your client in the background during a session

13.  Unwrapping a client order

14.  Video of your favorite product

15.  Video of your client unwrapping their order

Ok, that is 15 but I could go on and on.  The options are endless.  Of each of these options, there are at least three angles you could film which would bring your count to 45 unique pieces of content.  Post one every other day and you are set for three months.  Winner!  Winner!

But you might be saying to yourself, Dorie, those are great ideas but what about the captions and topics?  Again,  So easy,  are some ideas that you can use for the words over the videos and captions.  (oh and I am not even going to charge you $19 for them.  :) )  The best thing about faceless videos is that you can put almost any kind of wording or captions on them.  So you don't have to sweat matching all that up.

10 Social Media Hook Ideas for Photographers

1.  Three things that make me different from the rest

2.  Why my clients love the items they get from my studio

3.  The best time to schedule a session with me

4.  Why you need a hair and make-up artist for your session

5.  What to expect from a session with my studio

6.  Why I don't ________________

7.  Why you don't need updated family images (then turn this around to be reason why they need updated images from you)

8.  How to be my favorite client. . .

9.  A Little-known fact about working with me

10.  I'm not like other photographers. . . then list three things that make you different

You aren't done yet, now you need a caption.  If you have your video and your hook, then writing the caption is like a little blog.  Explain the wording in the video and add a call to action inviting people to connect with you.  These are great because if you use the videos and hooks above then writing the caption should be super easy.  Ask ChatGPT or Bing to help if needed.

As with anything for social media, don't overthink it.  Be authentic to yourself and your brand and have fun!!!

PRO-TIP

Take those captions, expand them and now you have blog posts that are ready to go.
